What is the BlueOcean Filter?

What it does

The BlueOcean Filter recycles the wash water and the energy (heat) in that water from your washer extractors or tunnel washers.   Hairs, sand, lint and any other solid particles are removed  by the BlueOcean’s special disc filters to give cleaned water,  suitable for re-use in your process. Our one-step technology means that the heat in your wash water is also preserved to the maximum.  For optimal process flexibility in your laundry, the BlueOcean comes complete with two buffer tanks to store wash water (for recyling) and filtrate water (cleaned) for re-use at your convenience. The BlueOcean is plug-and-play,  designed to make it easy for you from beginning to end.

Performance boost

With up to 95% of your wash water now suitable for re-use, and more or less at its initial temperature, you will see a big performance boost in your process, particularly with older tunnel washer models.  Big savings for a modest investment. For instance, if you re-use 6 m³/h, then you will typically have a payback period of under 2 years.

How it works

The heart of the BlueOcean is its depth-filtration technology. Layered discs trap dirt – even hairs cannot slip through. What’s more, the filters are self-cleaning, running an automatic backflush whenever required. That minimizes operator time. The BlueOcean connects inline to one or multiple tunnel washers and will treat up to 15m³ wash water per hour. A handy wash-water buffer tank gives flexibility in case of peaks. The BlueOcean is a fully automatic system, pre-programmed, and with a display customized so that personnel on the ground can see exactly how everything is running. Furthermore, the system is enclosed for maximum hygiene, particularly important if you have health-care customers.  The second buffer tank stores filtrate water for re-use when you need it. The BlueOcean Filter is  carefully designed to be ‘plug-and-play’, that makes for quick, easy installation and minimum fuss.
